What is the Walmart $4 List?<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Walmart $4 Program is a list of generic medications available for purchase at heavily discounted prices. Prices start at $4 for 30-day prescriptions, and $10 for 90-day supplies, with no insurance necessary to save. There are also no fees, and no membership required; plus, the program applies to both the initial dose and refills.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As no brand-name drugs are on the list, patients can ask a doctor to prescribe the generic version of any eligible medication to access the lowest prices.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Are there any restrictions?<\/span><\/h2>\n

While the Walmart generic drug savings list is a helpful resource for many, there are a few caveats to know. Here are a few <\/span>fine print<\/span><\/a> details to be aware of:<\/span><\/p>\n

1. Walmart can change the program without notice<\/h3>\n

“These Program Details are subject to change without advance notice,” according to Walmart. Take <\/span>albuterol<\/span><\/a>, for example, which is a popular asthma medication, and is no longer on the Walmart $4 List. For this reason, it’s always wise to have a few savings options available. Customers should carry their insurance card and SingleCare savings card (or download it on their phones<\/a>) whenever they go to the pharmacy to pick up their prescription.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Generic medications only<\/h3>\n

Walmart makes it very clear that only certain generic drugs at standard dosages are available within the $4 program. As a result, there are no savings on brand-name drugs or different dosages than what’s listed.<\/span><\/p>\n

3. Pricing can vary between states<\/h3>\n

“Prices of certain drugs covered by the Program may be higher in some states,” according to Walmart. Customers can call their local Walmart pharmacy for accurate pricing before filling their prescription.<\/span><\/p>\n

4. North Dakota residents cannot access the program<\/h3>\n

The Walmart program is available at all Walmart and Walmart Neighborhood Market pharmacies in the United States except North Dakota.
