Celexa<\/span>, also known by its generic name, <\/span>citalopram<\/span> (or <\/span>citalopram hydrobromide<\/span>), is a <\/span>brand-name<\/span> prescription medication used to treat adults with depression (<\/span>major depressive disorder<\/span>). <\/span>It<\/span> may also be used off-label to treat other conditions such as generalized <\/span>anxiety disorder<\/span>, <\/span>obsessive-compulsive disorder<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>panic disorder<\/span>, social <\/span>anxiety disorder<\/span>, or premenstrual dysphoric disorder. <\/span>Celexa<\/span> is often used in combination with counseling by <\/span>mental health<\/span> professionals.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
