Lexapro has a half-life of between 27 and 32 hours, while Prozac has a half-life of two to four days. When Prozac is metabolized, the active chemical has an even longer half-life of seven to nine days.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cBecause of the long half-life of fluoxetine, it tends to be more forgiving in people who sometimes forget their medication.
