This is because omeprazole is broken down in the liver by enzymes that also process many other medications. Pantoprazole may interact less with these liver enzymes, leading to fewer drug interactions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For example, many liver-processed drugs, including phenytoin, citalopram, and diazepam, are not known to have a significant interaction with pantoprazole.
