One of the most common adverse effects of Brilinta, the feeling of shortness of breath, is experienced by 14% to 21% of patients taking it, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dailymed.nlm.nih.gov\/dailymed\/drugInfo.cfm?setid=f7b3f443-e83d-4bf2-0e96-023448fed9a8\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">according to the manufacturer AstraZeneca<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The occurrence can be troublesome because dyspnea can be a symptom of an acute coronary syndrome, angina, or ian mpending heart attack. If you experience shortness of breath while taking Brilinta, contact your doctor immediately or seek emergency medical attention if the symptoms are severe. Shortness of breath resulting from Brilinta resolves when the drug is discontinued\u2014but you should not stop Brilinta unless advised by your doctor.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"serum-creatinine-elevation\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Serum creatinine elevation<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.singlecare.com\/blog\/creatinine-levels\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Serum creatinine<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is measured in blood tests as a marker for renal (kidney) function. Brilinta can cause serious bleeding that could cause complications, including needing a blood transfusion or surgery, or in rare cases, can be life-threatening. Brilinta can cause you to bruise and bleed more easily and have nosebleeds. You may also notice it takes longer for bleeding to stop than it used to. While taking Brilinta, call your healthcare provider right away or get emergency medical help for severe symptoms if:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You have severe or uncontrollable bleeding<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your urine is pink, red, or brown<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your stool (poop) is red, black, or tarry<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You are vomiting blood, or your vomit looks like coffee grounds<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You are coughing up blood or blood clots<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You should not stop taking Brilinta, though, unless your healthcare provider tells you to.
