The <\/span>FDA<\/span> has also approved the use of <\/span>fluoxetine<\/span> along with <\/span>olanzapine<\/span><\/a> to treat <\/span>bipolar<\/span><\/a> depression and treatment-resistant depression. <\/span>Dosages<\/span><\/a> will vary depending on the condition and treatment response, but expect to take anywhere from 20 mg to 60 mg per day. <\/span>Fluoxetine<\/span> is one of the best known members of a family<\/span> of drugs called <\/span>selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors<\/span><\/a> (SSRIs).
