In these cases, the seizures are due to a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pdr.net\/drug-summary\/Folic-Acid-Tablets-folic-acid-1634\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">drug interaction<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that lowers the level of antiseizure medication in the body. The seizures are not a <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">side effect<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">folic acid itself<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
