These and some other <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">side effects of acetazolamide<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, like taste perversion, are due to nerves functioning incorrectly due to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.visualdx.com\/visualdx\/diagnosis\/drug-induced+paresthesia?diagnosisId=56156&amp;moduleId=101\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">electrolyte changes<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. For the most part, tingling and other skin sensations are temporary and not a health threat. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC7204833\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They may be dose-dependent<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and, therefore, could be reversible by reducing the dose.
