In these cases, anything that requires effort can seem like a \u201cmonumental chore,\u201d according to Dr. Feifel, and that can cause mental fatigue and sleepiness.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"difficulty-sleeping\">Difficulty sleeping<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Depression can make you tired <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC6386825\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">by keeping you awake<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and preventing you from getting the quality sleep your body needs.
