Platelets primarily express COX-1, and when NSAIDs block COX-1, thromboxane A2 production decreases, thereby impairing platelet aggregation. Different NSAIDs produce varying degrees and durations of platelet inhibition, and fortunately, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/24698769\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NSAID-induced platelet dysfunction is reversible<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Ibuprofen, the active ingredient in Advil and Motrin, shows mild antiplatelet effects that are undetectable after 24-48 hours of being drug-free in most individuals.
