It&rsquo;s worth comparing the two medications when discussing <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.singlecare.com\/blog\/new-migraine-medications\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">migraine treatment<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with your healthcare provider, considering CGRPs were just named a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/38466028\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">first-line option for migraine prevention<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by the American Headache Society.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"emgality-vs-nurtec-key-differences\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Emgality vs. Nurtec: Key differences<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.singlecare.com\/drug-classes\/cgrp-inhibitors\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) inhibitors<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Emgality and Nurtec provide similar results, but they&rsquo;re achieved by different means.
