Highly processed foods or foods that have a high content of sugar increase inflammation in the body, which can increase the likelihood of period cramps.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Birth control pills<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: Birth control can help regulate your hormones and improve overall PMS symptoms like clotting and heavy blood flow for those with severe period symptoms.
