What do you do if you need more pen needles?\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"does-ozempic-come-with-needles\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Does Ozempic come with needles?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.singlecare.com\/prescription\/ozempic\/dosage\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ozempic<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> pens come with enough needles for all of the injections in the pen. You will use a new needle for each injection. This pen comes with six needles.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 4 mg\/3 mL pen contains four doses of 1 mg and comes with four needles.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 8 mg\/3mL pen contains four doses of 2 mg and comes with four needles.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0This means you should have one needle for every dose in your pen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"what-kind-of-needles-does-ozempic-use\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What kind of needles does Ozempic use?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Ozempic pen is supplied with NovoFine Plus 32 gauge (G) 4 millimeter (mm) single-use disposable needles. According to the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.novocare.com\/diabetes\/resources\/novofine-needle-options.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">manufacturer&#8217;s website<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, these needles are designed for less pain and to make injections more comfortable.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, the pen can also be used with other disposable needles up to a length of 8 mm, according to Ozempic\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dailymed.nlm.nih.gov\/dailymed\/drugInfo.cfm?setid=adec4fd2-6858-4c99-91d4-531f5f2a2d79\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">prescribing information<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition to your Ozempic pen and needles, you will need the following supplies: alcohol swabs, a cotton ball or gauze, and a sharps container.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"do-you-need-extra-needles-for-ozempic\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Do you need extra needles for Ozempic?\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In most cases, you should not require extra needles for your Ozempic pen. However, there may be a rare case where you may. For example, when you use a new Ozempic pen for the first time, you need to make sure a drop of medicine appears at the needle tip.
