Breyna and other generic budesonide-formoterol products are listed as covered generics on this plan.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For this same Aetna Standard Plan, there is a published <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aetna.com\/content\/dam\/aetna\/pdfs\/aetnacom\/individuals-families-health-insurance\/document-library\/pharmacy\/2025-exclusion-drug-list-aetna-standard-plan.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2025 Formulary Exclusions Drug List<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. On this list, brand-name Symbicort is listed as a non-covered drug, with preferred alternatives Breyna and other budesonide-formoterol products listed as covered drugs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you have Medicare prescription coverage, you can use the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aetna.com\/medicare\/prescription-drugs\/check-medicare-drug-list.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">plan finder search function<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to see that brand-name Symbicort is not covered, while generics are covered in most cases.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aetna Medicaid plans will vary by state; however, you can expect coverage to be similar to other Aetna plans.
