Because metformin boosts this natural \u201canti-hunger\u201d metabolite, people with Type 2 diabetes tend to have reduced cravings for sugar and carbohydrates while taking the medication.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The antidiabetic drug can also significantly affect a person\u2019s body composition.
