Fact Checked

Amlodipine lowers blood pressure by relaxing and widening blood vessels. It’s a calcium channel blocker that reduces calcium movement into blood vessel walls, allowing blood to flow more easily. It’s used to treat high blood pressure and relieve angina (chest pain) without affecting heart rate or blood thickness.
