How to take Altabax

  • Your doctor will tell you how much medicine to use. Do not use more than directed.

  • Topical application routeUse this medicine only on your skin. Rinse it off right away if it gets on a cut or scrape. Do not get the medicine in your eyes, nose, or mouth.

  • Wash your hands before using this medicine. Wash your hands again after applying the medicine, if your hands are not the area being treated.

  • Topical application routeApply a thin layer of the medicine to the affected area. Rub it in gently.

  • Take all of the medicine in your prescription to clear up your infection, even if you feel better after the first few doses.

  • You may cover the treated area with a sterile bandage or gauze dressing, unless your doctor tells you otherwise.
