Hycamtin is a type of chemotherapy drug. It is used to treat lung cancer, ovarian cancer, and cervical cancer and is typically administered when other medications have proved ineffective in treatment. Hycamtin belongs to the miscellaneous antineoplastics drug group. Drugs in the class affect growth and cell division i.e. are antiproliferative. They work by different mechanisms to prevent the development and spread of neoplastic cells.

If you are a woman, Hycamtin should not be used during pregnancy. You will need to have a negative pregnancy test before starting this treatment.
