What is Monogen?
Monogen is a milk protein-based powder, low fat, and high in medium-chain triglycerides (MCT). This product is a nutritionally complete dietary supplement that contains DHA, ARA, choline, l-tyrosine, l-isoleucine, citric acid, l-carnitine, l-ascorbic acid, niacinamide, l-methionine, zinc sulfate, l-valine, l-leucine, taurine, calcium d-pantothenate and minerals including trace elements, essential fatty acids, corn syrup solids, whey protein concentrate, fractionated coconut oil, and calcium phosphate dibasic among others. It may also be used by adults and children over one year of age as a supplementary product that helps to supply the necessary vitamins and minerals needed for good health. It may also be used to treat long-chain fatty acid oxidation disorders, Chylothorax Intestinal lymphangiectasia Intractable malabsorption, Post-operative feeding in short gut syndrome and other lipid and lymphatic disorders where a low fat, high MCT diet is needed.
This product is available in the form of milk-based protein powder for reconstitution. Once prepared, the formula should be stored in a refrigerator and kept no longer than 24 hours from the time of preparation. The prescribed amount of monogenic is usually determined by your healthcare professional and is dependent on your age, body weight, and current medical condition.
