Mozobil is a prescription-only medication that is used to collect stem cells within the bloodstream. When taken, Mozobil releases hematopoietic stem cells from the bone marrow into the bloodstream to allow easy collection in patients diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma or multiple myeloma.

How to take Mozobil

What to do if you miss a dose of Mozobil

Mozobil contraindications - Who shouldn't take Mozobil?

  • This medicine is not right for everyone. You should not receive it if you had an allergic reaction to plerixafor, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Mozobil warnings

  • It is not safe to take this medicine during pregnancy. It could harm an unborn baby. Tell your doctor right away if you become pregnant. Use an effective form of birth control during treatment and for 1 week after the last dose.

  • Do not breastfeed during treatment with this medicine and for 1 week after the last dose.

  • Tell your doctor if you have kidney disease or leukemia.

  • This medicine may cause the following problems:Low blood pressure, which may lead to shockEnlarged spleen, which could burst

  • This medicine may make you bleed, bruise, or get infections more easily. Take precautions to prevent illness and injury. Wash your hands often.

  • Your doctor will do lab tests at regular visits to check on the effects of this medicine. Keep all appointments.
