What is Obtrex?

Obtrex is a mineral, multivitamin, and fatty acid product used to treat or prevent vitamin deficiency before, during, and after pregnancy. This medication works by providing patients with a concentrated supply of vitamins and minerals such as vitamin C, vitamin D3, vitamin E, cholecalciferol, vitamin B12 (pyridoxine HCl), vitamin B, Folate, carbonyl, docusate, Folic acid, and Obtrex DHA.

Obtrex is available in the form of coated soft gels that are usually used once or twice daily, or as directed by your doctor. Follow all the instructions listed on the product information label when taking this medication or consult with your doctor for guidance. This medication is best taken on an empty stomach one or two hours before or after meals. If an upset stomach occurs, you may take this medication with food. Avoid using antacids, dairy products, coffee, or tea within two hours of using this medication because they will decrease its effectiveness. Store Obtrex at room temperature between 59-86 degrees F (15-30 degrees C) away from light and moisture.
