Ixinity is a medication that contains coagulation factor IX used to manage bleeding episodes in patients 12 years and older with hemophilia b. It is also used before surgery to control and prevent bleeding. Hemophilia B prevents blood from clotting due to a deficiency of the clotting factor in the blood. Ixinity works by replacing the coagulation factor IX to temporarily control bleeding. This medication is available as an injection.
