Rocaltrol is a prescription medication used to treat patients with vitamin D deficiency. It works to boost vitamin D levels in the body. This maintains the parathyroid hormone and minerals, such as calcium and phosphorus, to keep your bones healthy and strong.

Store the medicine in a closed container at room temperature, away from heat, moisture, and direct light.
Missed dose: Take a dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, wait until then and take a regular dose. Do not take extra medicine to make up for a missed dose.

Do not take vitamins, calcium supplements, or other forms of vitamin D while you are taking calcitriol. If you are on dialysis, do not take antacids that contain magnesium while you are taking calcitriol.
