You or your child should not use this medicine if you have or your child has had an allergic reaction to doxylamine. Using these medicines in very young children might cause serious or possibly life-threatening side effects.

Call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve or if they get worse.

This medicine may make you dizzy or drowsy. Use the tablet only at bedtime. Avoid driving, using machines, or doing anything else that could be dangerous if you are not alert.

Make sure your doctor knows if you or your child are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have glaucoma, breathing problems (such as emphysema or bronchitis), or problems with urination due to an enlarged prostate.

Tell your doctor if you use anything else that makes you sleepy. Some examples are allergy medicine, narcotic pain medicine, and alcohol.
