Zomacton comes in the form of an injectable powder and is used to treat growth failure in adults and children who lack the natural growth hormone. Zomacton is also used in adults to treat short bowel syndrome or to prevent severe AIDS-related weight loss. You should not use Zomacton if you have cancer or diabetic retinopathy. Common side effects may include pain, itching, swelling and rapid weight gain.

Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have kidney disease, diabetes, thyroid problems, pituitary problems, scoliosis (curved spine), Turner syndrome, or a history of cancer. Tell your doctor if your child has Prader-Willi syndrome, especially if he has sleep apnea or breathing problems. Also, tell your doctor if you have ever had open heart surgery, stomach surgery, or trauma caused by an accident.
Your doctor will do lab tests at regular visits to check on the effects of this medicine. Keep all appointments.
