Amlodipine can stay in your system for up to 11 days. Because it has a long half-life of about 30 to 50 hours, it takes roughly five half-lives for the drug to be fully eliminated. Although it has a long half-life, amlodipine’s effects start to diminish after 24 hours, so it’s important to take it exactly as prescribed.
