Emilia Benton

Emilia is a freelance writer and editor living in her hometown of Houston. She received her B.A. in journalism with minors in Spanish and women's studies from Hofstra University in Long Island, New York. In addition to The Checkup, her work has been published by SELF, Runner's World, Women's Health, and SHAPE, among others. She is also a 10-time marathoner, frequent traveler, and avid amateur baker.
