Integra FAQs

How much does Integra cost without insurance?

Without insurance, customers can expect to pay $24.86 for a supply of 30, 62.5-62.5-40-3mg capsules, but this price may vary. With a SingleCare discount card, the cost of Integra drops to $15.01.

How much does Integra cost with insurance?

As with any prescription drug copay, the cost of Integra with insurance varies by plan. In fact, some insurance plans will not cover Integra prescriptions because all the active ingredients are available as generic, over-the-counter supplements. Check with your pharmacist. With SingleCare, Integra costs as little as $15.01 for 30, 62.5-62.5-40-3mg capsules. This may be a better alternative to insurance, so compare prices using your SingleCare discount card first before you overpay for Integra.

Does Medicare cover Integra and how much does it cost?

Medicare-eligible patients are very unlikely to get coverage on their Integra prescription, because all the active ingredients are available in over-the-counter dietary supplements. For Medicare patients, the best savings are available with a SingleCare Integra coupon.

Is there a generic of Integra?

There is no generic version of Integra. However, ferrous fumarate (iron), polysaccharide iron complex, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), and niacin (vitamin B3) are the active dietary supplements contained in Integra. All are universally available as generic, over-the-counter dietary supplements.

Integra is marketed as three brands with different dosages: Integra, Integra Plus, and Integra F. Search for these versions on our website or app to find free Integra coupons.

What is Integra?

Integra is a brand-name prescription iron supplement. Ferrous fumarate (an iron mineral), polysaccharide iron complex, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), and niacin (vitamin B3) are the active dietary supplements in Integra. Integra is intended to increase the amount of iron in the blood, which is vital for the transportation of oxygen to cells and tissues. Vitamin C helps the body absorb iron. Niacin is important in keeping blood and blood vessels healthy.

Integra is sometimes prescribed to patients with iron-deficiency anemia, poor nutrition, or pregnancy–any condition involving a shortage of iron in the red blood cells.

Although Integra can help iron-deficient anemia, it is not used for other types of anemia, such as pernicious anemia, which is caused by low levels of vitamin B12, or hemolytic anemia, which is caused by a variety of illnesses.

What are the side effects of Integra?

Common side effects of Integra include but are not limited to upset stomach, stomach cramps, constipation, diarrhea, or black or bloody stools.

Allergic reactions to the active ingredients are extremely rare. Integra, however, does contain tartrazine, so patients with allergies to tartrazine should consult with their physician before using Integra.

Although iron is a naturally occurring and critical part of our diet, overdosing on iron can lead to iron poisoning and even death. Always follow your doctor's instructions or the suggested dosage on the supplement.
