Methylphenidate HCl ER (CD) capsules are a long-acting generic prescription drug that reduces ADHD symptoms. This “controlled delivery” version of extended-release methylphenidate combines an outer immediate-release layer and an inner extended-release layer in each of the capsule’s beads. Its effects last for much of the day in a slightly different way than other extended-release methylphenidate products.
