What is Migrelief?
Migrelief is a non-prescription dietary supplement with ingredients (feverfew, riboflavin, and magnesium) that, taken over time, help reduce the incidence of migraines and headaches.
Feverfew has been a common folk remedy for headaches and migraines. Taken over time, it may reduce the incidence of both headaches and migraines. Feverfew contains a substance, tanetin, that may work similarly to aspirin, ibuprofen, and acetaminophen by blocking the production of prostaglandins, which are responsible for headache pain.
Magnesium and vitamin B2 (riboflavin) have both been demonstrated to reduce the incidence of headaches and migraines by almost half when taken as supplements over more than three months.
Migrelief is taken as a caplet twice per day.
What are the side effects of Migrelief?
Taken as directed, side effects of Migrelief are very minimal and rarely experienced. Feverfew is a potent herb with a long history of medicinal uses. Side effects are relatively common and include gas, bloating, diarrhea, heartburn, upset stomach, nausea, and vomiting. Less common side effects include dizziness, headache, trouble sleeping, increased heart rate, rash, and weight gain.
Both magnesium and riboflavin are very well-tolerated with minimal and rarely experienced side effects. These might include bloating, diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting.
Allergic reactions are very rare – including allergic reactions to feverfew. Allergic reactions to Migrelief are most likely reactions to the inactive ingredients. Discontinue use of Migrelief|| if you notice an allergic reaction such as itching, rash, hives, or trouble breathing.
