Perjeta is used to treat women with human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2-positive) breast cancer that has spread to other parts of the body. It is used along with trastuzumab and docetaxel to treat this condition. Perjeta stunts the growth of cancer cells. It is indicated for use by adult women and is available as a liquid.

This medicine is not right for everyone. You should not receive it if you had an allergic reaction to pertuzumab, or if you are pregnant.

It is not safe to take this medicine during pregnancy. It could harm an unborn baby. Tell your doctor right away if you become pregnant. Use an effective form of birth control during treatment with this medicine and for 7 months after your last dose.
Tell your doctor if you are breastfeeding, or if you have heart disease, heart failure, high blood pressure, or heart rhythm problems.

Serious Side Effects
Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
Chest pain, trouble breathing, fast or uneven heartbeat, dizziness, fainting
Fever, chills, headache, vomiting
Rapid weight gain, swelling in your hands, ankles, or feet
Unusual bleeding, bruising, or weakness

Sores or white patches on your lips, mouth, or throat
Hair loss
