How to take Podocon

  • Your doctor will give you this medicine. This medicine will be left on your skin for a short period of time, usually about 1 to 4 hours.

  • Topical application routeUse this medicine only on your skin. Rinse it off right away if it gets on a cut or scrape. Do not get the medicine in your eyes, nose, or mouth.

  • If you have too many warts or if your warts cover a large skin area, your doctor may give you this medicine a second time.

  • If you miss an appointment, call your doctor for instructions.

Podocon contraindications - Who shouldn't take Podocon?

  • You should not use this medicine if you have had an allergic reaction to benzoin compound or podophyllum, or if you have diabetes, trouble with blood circulation, or are using steroid medicines (such as dexamethasone, prednisone, or Medrol®). This medicine is not used to treat moles, birthmarks, irritated or bleeding warts, or unusual warts with hair growing from them. You should not use this medicine if you are pregnant.

Podocon warnings

  • It is not safe to take this medicine during pregnancy. It could harm an unborn baby. Tell your doctor right away if you become pregnant.

  • Make sure your doctor knows if you are breastfeeding.

  • Numbness, tingling, or burning pain on your skin or in your hands, arms, legs, or feet.

  • Stomach pain, constipation, nausea, or vomiting.

  • Unusual bleeding, bruising, or weakness.

  • Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
