What is Synagis used for?

Synagis is a man-made antibody used to treat a respiratory syncytial virus, a dangerous lung disease found in premature infants or infants born with lung disorders. It works by preventing the cells from spreading in the body. Synagis is used best in infants at least 24 months or 6 months and younger for premature infants. It will not work for infants who already are diagnosed with the RV disease.
