Fact Checked

Amlodipine is not an ACE inhibitor - it’s a calcium channel blocker. Both lower blood pressure, but they work differently. Calcium channel blockers relax blood vessels by blocking calcium from the heart and blood vessels, while ACE inhibitors block angiotensin II production, allowing blood vessels to widen and improve blood flow.
