What is Carbidopa Anhydrous used for?

Carbidopa comes in tablet form and is used along with Levodopa in treating symptoms of Parkinson's disease. Symptoms of Parkinson's disease may be caused by low dopamine levels in the brain. Carbidopa and Levodopa work together to increase the amount of dopamine in the body. Carbidopa is usually only used with Levodopa and has no effect when used alone. You should not use Carbidopa if you have narrow-angle glaucoma. Common side effects may include nausea, upset stomach, headache, dizziness and sleep problems.
