Tylenol 3, another popular pain reliever, is Codeine combined with acetaminophen. Codeine belongs to the narcotic analgesics drug class. Narcotic analgesics work by binding to opioid receptors, part of the opioid system that controls pain, pleasurable and addictive behaviors.
