Delsym cough medicine is used to relieve cough without phlegm temporarily by decreasing the feeling of needing to cough in both adults and children. Coughs are caused by an infection of the air passages, for example, the common cold, sinusitis, and influenza. Delsym should not be used to treat long-term cough from smoking or breathing problems unless directed by a physician.
Do not consume alcohol when taking this medication. You should not use it for more than one week without consulting with your healthcare provider.
