What is Diprolene?
Diprolene is a prescription topical ointment that relieves the itching, pain, swelling, and redness caused by allergies, eczema, or psoriasis. The active ingredient in Diprolene, betamethasone, is a corticosteroid, a type of drug which prevents the body from releasing chemicals that produce swelling.
A few drops of Diprolene are applied to the affected area and rubbed in until the ointment disappears. Diprolene should not be used with bandages, other dressings, or diapers. Do not apply to the face, groin, or armpits.
