Elaprase is an IV infusion used to treat patients with Hunter's syndrome. It is a metabolic disorder caused by the absence of enzymes required to break down sugars and proteins in the body. The excessive build-up of enzymes can cause abnormal bone structure, heart problems, enlarged organs, or vision loss. Elaprase works to enhance or replace the enzymes.
