What is Epifoam?

Epifoam (pramoxine and hydrocortisone acetate) is a brand-name prescription topical drug that relieves the swelling, itchiness, and discomfort of various mild to moderate skin and anal conditions. Epifoam, however, does not treat the underlying condition.

Hydrocortisone acetate is an artificial steroid that belongs to a class of drugs called corticosteroids, which activate chemicals in the body that reduce swelling. When absorbed into the skin, Epifoam reduces the swelling that causes skin irritation, itching, and redness.
