How to take Hygel

  • Your doctor will tell you how much medicine to use. Do not use more than directed.

  • This medicine is for use on the skin only. Do not get it in your eyes, nose, or mouth. If it does get on these areas, rinse it off right away.

  • Topical application routeWash your hands with soap and water before and after you use this medicine.

  • Clean the affected skin area just before you use this medicine.

  • Topical application routeApply a thin layer of the medicine to the affected area. Rub it in gently. You may cover the skin area with a bandage or dressing after you apply the medicine, unless your doctor tells you otherwise.

  • Missed dose: Topical application routeApply a dose as soon as you can. If it is almost time for your next dose, wait until then and apply a regular dose. Do not apply extra medicine to make up for a missed dose.

  • Store the medicine in a closed container at room temperature, away from heat, moisture, and direct light.
