What is Imatinib?

Imatinib is an FDA-approved generic prescription drug typically used to treat certain cancers of the blood, such as acute lymphoblastic leukemia and chronic myeloid leukemia. This medication is a chemotherapy drug that works by slowing or stopping the growth of cancer cells.
