Karbinal ER is an antihistamine that is used to treat symptoms of allergies including runny nose, hives, watery eyes and sneezing, allergic conjunctivitis, skin allergies, and other conditions such as insomnia, hives, anaphylaxis, and nasal congestion. They work by blocking histamines and slowing down their activity in the central nervous system. Karbinal ER is pharmacologically classified as a carbinoxamine.

This medication is only available with your doctor's prescription and therefore, should be used as prescribed. You should not use more or less of Karbinal ER as it may cause unwanted side effects to arise. You can obtain the correct dosage of Karbinal ER from your doctor when you get a consultation. You should weigh the risks and benefits of Karbinal ER with your doctor before starting treatment using Karbinal ER. Karbinal ER can be used by both adults and children but the use of Karbinal ER is not recommended in children who are below the age of two as serious or life-threatening side effects may occur.
