How to take Lokelma

• Store the medicine in a closed container at room temperature, away from heat, moisture, and direct light.

• To use: Empty the contents of the packet into a glass filled with 3 tablespoons or more of water.Stir well and drink immediately.If some powder is still in the glass, add more water. Stir and drink it right away. Repeat as needed to make sure you get your full dose.

• Keep all medicine out of the reach of children. Never share your medicine with anyone.

• Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have kidney disease (including patients on dialysis), heart failure, bowel blockage, or other bowel movement problems (including constipation or impaction). Tell your doctor if you have had surgery for a bowel movement disorder.

• This medicine may cause swelling in the different parts of your body. Talk to your doctor if you have any concerns.

• Your doctor will check your progress and the effects of this medicine at regular visits. Keep all appointments.

Lokelma interactions

• This medicine may keep other medicines from working properly. Do not use sodium zirconium cyclosilicate within 2 hours before or 2 hours after you take another oral medicine.

• Some medicines can affect how sodium zirconium cyclosilicate works. Tell your doctor if you are using atorvastatin, dabigatran, or furosemide.
