Novoeight is used to control and prevent bleeding episodes in patients with low levels of factor VII, also known as hemophilia A. It may also be used by patients before surgery to prevent bleeding. Patients with low hemophilia A are at risk for bleeding longer after surgery or bleeding inside the body. This medication contains a man-made form of hemophilia A, called an antihemophilic factor. It is used to temporarily replace missing hemophilia, a protein that is normal in the blood that helps it to clot so that bleeding disorders can stop.
