You should not use this medicine if you have had an allergic reaction to oxacillin or any type of penicillin, such as amoxicillin, penicillin, Amoxil®, Augmentin®, Trimox®, or Veetids®.
Make sure your doctor knows if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Make sure your doctor knows if you have liver disease, kidney disease, asthma, or any allergies.
Use this medicine to treat only the infection your doctor has prescribed it for. Do not use this medicine for any infection that has not been checked by your doctor.
This medicine can cause diarrhea. Call your doctor if the diarrhea becomes severe, does not stop, or is bloody. Do not take any medicine to stop diarrhea until you have talked to your doctor. Diarrhea can occur 2 months or more after you stop taking this medicine.
Your doctor will check your progress and the effects of this medicine at regular visits. Keep all appointments.

Serious Side Effects

Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
Bloody urine.
Decrease in how much or how often you urinate.
Diarrhea that may contain blood.
Dark-colored urine or pale stools.
Unusual bleeding, bruising, or weakness.
Lightheadedness or fainting.
Yellowing of your skin or the whites of your eyes.
Nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, or pain in your upper stomach.
Seizure.
Less Serious Side Effects
Blackish-colored tongue.
Mild skin rash.
Sores or white patches on your lips, mouth, or throat.
Joint pain or muscle cramps.
Mild nausea, vomiting, or stomach pain.
