What is Paroex used for?

Periogard is an oral rinse used to relieve the symptoms of gingivitis. Gingivitis causes the gums to swell, become red and bleed when brushed. Periogard stops the growth of harmful bacteria in your mouth and decreases the swelling, redness and bleeding. It also causes bad breath. It is also used to treat mucositis and periodontitis of the mouth. This medication is indicated for use by adults and is available as a liquid.
