Proair Respiclick is a prescription drug given to patients four years and older to relieve and prevent symptoms of bronchospasm with reversible obstructive airway disease and for the prevention of exercise-induced bronchospasm. Bronchospasm is a medical condition that causes the muscles along the airways to tighten. When your airways are narrow, you would have a hard time breathing.
What doses of Proair Respiclick are available?
Proair Respiclick is available as an inhalation powder form in 90 mcg per inhalation. The recommended amount for adults and children four years or older who are using this inhaler for reversible obstructive airway disease is two inhalations every four to six hours if needed. For exercise-induced bronchospasm, the usual dose is two inhalations 15-30 minutes prior to exercise. Increased administration or a higher number of inhalations is not recommended unless instructed by your primary care physician.
