Qbrexza is a brand-name prescription drug. There is currently no generic alternative available.
Qbrexza is a brand-name prescription topical cloth or wipe used to treat hyperhidrosis, specifically excessive underarm sweating. Glycopyrronium, the active ingredient, is infused in a pre-moistened cloth for use on the skin. It is a part of a group of medications known as anticholinergics and works by blocking the actions of your sweat glands and reducing sweat.
This medicated cloth is usually used once daily to both armpits using a single cloth or as directed by your healthcare provider. It should be applied to clean, dry skin of your underarms. Do not apply Qbrexza to broken skin. These wipes are meant for one-time use only and should not be covered or wrapped with dressings or plastic. Wash your hands after using this medication to avoid accidentally getting it in your eyes or other sensitive areas. Using Qbrexza regularly (but not more than once every 24 hours) will help you to experience the maximum benefit.
While using Qbrexza, you may experience some mild side effects such as burning, redness, itching, or stinging at the site of application. Dry mouth, dry skin, headaches, and blurred vision may also occur. Check with your doctor or pharmacist right away if you experience these symptoms and they persist or worsen.
Serious allergic reactions to this medication are rare. If, however, you do develop serious symptoms of allergies such as rashes, itching, swelling, or trouble breathing, you should seek medical attention right away.
This is not a complete list of side effects. You may also experience side effects that are not listed here if you continue to use Qbrexza. Speak with your healthcare professional for medical advice on the benefits and risks involved with using Qbrexza.
