Doctors prescribe QVAR RediHaler as a preventive treatment for asthma. Its active ingredient is beclomethasone, an inhaled corticosteroid that blocks swelling of the airways due to allergic or non-allergic reactions. The RediHaler aerosol inhaler is a unique breath-actuated aerosol inhaler instead of the more traditional press-and-breathe aerosol inhaler. Doses are inhaled twice daily.
